Sophie Elgort is a photographer and director born in New York City. Her work exists at the intersection of photography and storytelling, to make people feel valued by telling their stories, both through image and words. Her photographs have appeared in in publications including Cultured, Elle, Paper, Teen Vogue, The Financial Times, Vogue Greece and Vogue Thailand among others. She has made images and films for brands including De Beers, Rosewood Hotels, Victoria’s Secret, Alice + Olivia, Adidas and Maybelline and worked with personalities including Brooke Shields, Clive Davis, Daveed Diggs, Dove Cameron, John Waters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Naomi Watts, Rosario Dawson, Rose Byrne and more. Her fine art photography is represented by Staley-Wise Gallery and her work was most recently included in the gallery’s group exhibition of portraits. She also had a solo show in New York and LA over the summer, AWAY WE GO, inspired by postcards and the spirit of travel.
Sophie was previously named to Forbes' 30 under 30 list in the Art and Style category and to The Daily Front Row's, 12 New Wave Creatives Moving Fashion Forward. Sophie has been featured in Vogue, The New York Times and Good Day New York among numerous other magazines, newspapers, TV shows and podcasts. Alongside her photography, she also contributes to a variety of media outlets as a photography and fashion expert and media personality both on-air and online. She is also a frequent public speaker, including at the Rubin Museum of Art, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), Barnard College, Pratt Institute and Brown University among other places and has been a guest judge for The All American High School Film Festival and the 70th Annual MissUSA Pageant.
